Community Mental Health Centers (Trsm) are community-based, effective and accessible centers that provide biological and psychosocial interventions in order to prevent hospitalization, minimize disability and increase functionality of individuals with severe chronic diseases such as schizophrenia, non-organic psychosis and bipolar affective disorder.
The Community Mental Health Center within our hospital was registered in February 2018 with this principle and became operational. A psychiatrist, a psychologist, a social worker and two nurses are employed in our center, and as of now, 120 clients are served.
Clients diagnosed with schizophrenia, non-organic psychosis, and bipolar affective disorder can apply to Trsm directly, as well as being directed by their family physicians and psychiatry units of hospitals. The suitability of the clients for Trsm is evaluated by the psychiatry responsible physician.

The works created as a result of the art work of the Community Mental Health Center clients were exhibited at Torbalı State Hospital. The opening of the exhibition was made by Torbalı District Governor Ercan Öter, District Police Chief Muhittin Murat Yener, District Gendarmerie Commander Emre Balcı, District Deputy Director of National Education Fırat Annak, District Health Director Dr. Göksel Aslan, Deputy Director of Public Education Celal Gurlekce, Chief Physician Dr. Miraç Rye, Deputy Chief Physician Op. Dr. K. Güven Özmen and Op. Dr. Nagehan Can, Exp. Dr. Ebuzer Cenik, Yiğit Taşcı, Emine Özer, Özlem Pak Özyıldız and Mütalip Karaoğlan from the TRSM team.
It was stated that the exhibition was opened with the aim of ensuring that the feelings and thoughts of individuals with psychosis, bipolar and schizophrenia are understood by the society, to reveal their skills and abilities, to emphasize that these individuals, who are pushed to be in the background for various reasons, exist in life at least as much as other elements of society, cannot be separated from society, and to raise awareness about all these.
